Huang Kunming, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, on Friday met with a delegation from Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
The delegation, led by deputy editor-in-chief of Rodong Sinmun Kim Jin Su, came to China at the invitation of the People's Daily, the flagship newspaper of the CPC.
Huang called on the two newspapers of both countries' ruling parties to strengthen exchanges and cooperation.
He said that the two newspapers should play the role of "bridge" between the two countries, safeguard, carry forward and promote traditional friendship between both countries, and constantly inject new impetus into bilateral ties.
Kim Jin Su spoke highly of the great achievements since the founding of the People's Republic of China 70 years ago, and expressed the willingness to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two countries' press to further deepen the friendship between the DPRK and China.
